Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of These Terms

Primordial WoW ("we", "us") is a free, fan-run World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King (3.3.5a) private server run by volunteers as a hobby. These Terms apply to our website, game server, launcher, Discord and any other service we run. By creating an account, logging in or playing, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Who Can Play

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you need permission from a parent or guardian, who also agrees to these Terms for you.

3. Your Account

Give a valid email address when you register and keep your password secret. You are responsible for everything that happens on your account. One person per account: accounts may not be shared, sold, traded or given away. Tell us right away if you think someone else has accessed your account.

4. Conduct

You agree to follow the Server Rules. Cheating, botting with third-party tools, exploiting bugs, harassment, spam, advertising and real-money trading are not allowed. We may warn, mute, suspend or permanently ban accounts that break the rules, and remove anything gained by breaking them.

5. The Shop: Not Pay-to-Win

Our shop only offers quality-of-life and cosmetic things: transmog items, mounts, pets, cosmetics, character services and level boosts. It does not sell gold, gear with stats or anything else that gives a power advantage over other players.

Level boosts (to level 70 or level 80) are limited to 3 per account in total, counted across all characters on the account for the lifetime of the account. Only successful purchases count toward the limit; refunded or failed deliveries do not. We may change the items, prices and limits in the shop at any time.

6. Voluntary Donations and Tokens

Donations are completely voluntary and help pay for hosting and development. Donations are processed by PayPal; by donating you also accept PayPal's own terms. As a thank-you you receive tokens that can be spent in the shop. A donation is a gift, not a purchase: tokens are virtual items (see section 8), have no cash value, cannot be exchanged back for money and cannot be sold or transferred.

Donations are final and non-refundable, except where a refund is required by law.

7. Chargebacks

If a donation is refunded, reversed or charged back, we will remove the tokens it gave you and, where possible, anything bought with them. A chargeback or payment dispute may also lead to account action, including suspension or a ban. If something went wrong with a donation, please contact us first.

8. Virtual Items Have No Real-World Value

Characters, in-game gold, items, tokens, shop rewards and any other in-game content have no real-world value and are not your property. You do not own them; you get a limited, revocable permission to use them while playing on our server. Selling or trading them for real money is not allowed.

9. Availability, Beta and Wipes

Primordial WoW is currently in beta. During the beta we may change, rebalance or remove game content, and we may need to roll back or wipe characters, items or other game data, for example after a bug, an exploit, a technical failure or a planned reset. We will announce planned wipes in the news or on Discord.

The server restarts every day at 4:00 AM Mountain Time (MT), and there may be other downtime for maintenance, updates or problems. We run Primordial WoW "as is" and do not promise it will always be online, bug-free or available forever.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Primordial WoW and its volunteers are not liable for any loss or damage from using, or being unable to use, our services, including lost characters, items or data. Download and run client software at your own risk.

11. Ending Your Account

You may stop playing at any time and ask us to delete your account (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms or the Server Rules, and remove anything gained by breaking them. Tokens and items on a suspended or closed account are not refunded, except where required by law.

12. Privacy

How we collect and use your information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. We will post important changes in the news or on Discord, and the date at the top of this page shows when they were last updated. Continuing to play after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Not Affiliated with Blizzard

Primordial WoW is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. World of Warcraft, Warcraft and related names and images are trademarks or registered trademarks of Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. All rights to them belong to their owners.
